Construction site

The project offers a neighbourhood house in coherence with the scale of this particular site thanks to the studies done on its volume and facades. The principle of the building's implantation tends towards a maximum of compactness to preserve a quality landscape and a maximum of open space. The ground floor is designed as an extension of the outdoor space with the continuity of the natural stone paving in the inside. This contribute to the animation of the square which sees its surface doubled. The trees are preserved, the existing landscape is maintained and a new garden takes place. A gap is created by the detachment of few meters of the building from the adjoining houses, giving permeability and a new functional space.
Each floor has the same organization of the spaces, which are independent from each other thanks to the external vertical circulation. Thus, the structure allows for a wide floor, a flexible and modular space dedicated to different activities.
Finally, natural materials are chosen (wood, stone, straw, earth) from local know-how in a logic of circular economy.
